Chris Young is CEO of Allegiance Behavioral Health Centers Of Monroe, Ruston, and West Monroe campuses. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration, a Bachelors in Organizational Management, and an Associates in Fire Science. At age 22 he was awarded membership to The Gamma Beta Phi Society, age 23 he was named Louisiana's youngest fire chief and age 32 he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his degree in Organizational Management.
Chris comes from many walks of life ranging from public administration as fire chief, to business owner. His passion for healthcare began administration in 2011 as a nursing home administrator at a local facility. He developed a passion for patients, families and staff in the medical community, that lead him to take the leadership role at Allegiance Behavioral Health Centers. Chris's extensive background of relationships and networking with other healthcare facilities helps Allegiance develop and maintain a strong relationship in the healthcare community and to serve the citizens of the communities he serves. Chris believes that relationships on an individual basis is the structure needed to help serve and maintain mental health in these communities. His goal is make aware the issues in the geriatric community with stigma of mental healthcare and to make available resources and education.
Chris has focused his career, attitude, drive and determination toward helping the community and has helped propel Allegiance Behavioral Health Centers to the largest behavioral health facility in North Louisiana with the goal of bringing awareness and treatment for mental illness to the forefront and to help the community understand that mental health is as important as physical health.
Dr. Alfredo E. Torres is the Medical Director/Psychiatrist for Allegiance Behavioral Healthcare units for geriatrics in Monroe, and Ruston inpatient services. He is also the psychiatrist for outpatient therapy services in Ruston and West Monroe. He is a leader in these facilities that has established quality, continuous care for senior citizens 55 years and older. He brings to these facilities experience and knowledge of over 24 years and compassion for mental health issues throughout Ouachita Parish and surrounding parishes. He has proven in these facilities to put patient safety and needs above all. His background has given him diverse experience that has allowed Allegiance Behavioral Healthcare to grow and expand to provide more availability and needed beds. Dr. Torres has supported and worked to encourage growth and accountability in the care at Allegiance Healthcare Center to bring attention to an area that needs more focus.
Dr. Alfredo E Torres is a Psychiatry Specialist in Monroe, and Ruston Louisiana. He graduated with honors from Albert Einstein College of Medicine Of Yeshiva University in 1993. Dr. Torres has over 24 years of experience in the psychiatric field. Dr. Torres is a pillar in the community of behavioral health medicine and lifestyle modification to treat and help those in need of mental health treatment. He has dedicated his time relating to the patients and community by giving time and guidance to staff and coworkers to be patient advocates in his facilities. He is affiliated with many hospitals in the area and works with other doctors and specialists in the area to support local and quality treatment for patient and family convenience and continuity of care.
Dr. Torres has a private practice located in Monroe, Louisiana. He dedicates many hours to patients, family and friends. His leadership, compassion and attention to community mental health needs has established Allegiance Behavioral Healthcare Centers as one of the largest centers of its kind in Northern Louisiana.
Allegiance Behavioral would like to welcome Kristen Johnson, APRN, PMHNP to our Monroe and Ruston Inpatient campuses. Kristen is dedicated and passionate Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Emergency and Cardiac specialty care. A native of West Monroe she brings with her 8 years of nursing experience. In addition to her clinical experience, Kristin also has an outstanding academic background that includes two bachelor’s degrees, a BA in elementary education and a BSN in nursing, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing from the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program from Nichols State. Kristen is dedicated to providing exceptional psychiatric and individualized care to our patients.
Allegiance Behavioral Health Center would like to welcome our new Director of Nursing, Barbara Davidson, RN. Barbara steps into this position with an impressive background of psychiatric experience. She began her career as an LPN in 1995, earning her ASN from Louisiana Tech University in 2005 and her BSN from University of Louisiana in Monroe in May 2018. Continuing her education, she is currently pursuing her Masters from McNeese State University. Barbara feels as though Psychiatric Nursing is her calling and is dedicated to providing quality care to our seniors in need.
